Once again, my blog has fallen by the wayside.  It is a sad, barren place, full of empty, automated twitter posts showing that I have neglected it.

I’m a bad blogger.  I am just going to have to come to terms with this.  I feel that I really don’t have much of value to say that can’t be said in a 140 character tweet, so I just say nothing.  I am gonna have to figure out a motivation to blog. Any ideas?

Besides all of that melancholy above, I’ve been busy lately.  Someone who will remain nameless (their names rhyme with mom and dad) suggested I take a full class load this semester. By suggested I mean demanded..by demanded I mean threatened eviction and used their “we’re disappointed in you” guilt trip faces.  So, I’m taking 13 credit hours at a local community college.  Blech..I don’t want to be there, but I am so I am trying to actually do something with it.  My schedule isn’t too hard, one class Monday morning then a full day (9:30 am to 9:45 pm) on Wednesdays…but I am still working full-time while doing it.  And this is just week 2 and the homework has already begun to hit me.  I have papers, reading, and quizzes to do and no motivation to do any of it.  I work at 5 today and if I had my way, I’d simply be laying in bed with my laptop, trolling the internet for interesting tidbits.

Oh well, time to write that art history paper.  If I never post again its because all of this school crap has made me homicidal and I’m in prison

Alright, seeing as this is the first day of ‘09, I am gonna officially kick off “Octane and Caffeinie: The Blog”.  There have already been a few posts, but mostly scattered stuff.  Now I am actually gonna go halfway on topic.

I chose Octane and Cafeine as this blog’s title because they are the two things that keep me going.  My love of fast cars and going fast contributes a lot to my personality, and my love of caffeine (and stimulants in general) contributes to my twitchiness.  This blog is, on occasion, going to touch on those two topics, cars and caffeine, but is for the most part going to be my observations about the world around me.  I often play through scripts in my head of ways I would describe the event that just happened to the rest of the world, so this is just my way of getting them out.

As a secondary topic I plan to discuss my work: food delivery.  I work for a quirky little restaurant and we have a very large, rural delivery area..so I accumlate lots of fun anecdotes and errata that I hope to convey to my audience.  Additionally, I hope to provide helpful tips for smoothing customer/driver relations through some of the ridiculous things people have done to me.

Anyways, Happy ‘09 everyone.  Please hit the RSS subscribe or check back.  The plan is to keep this thing updated at least 3 times a week.  If I don’t stick to it, feel free to berate me via email.
